  OMEA PRIVACY STATEMENT

  The Ontario Music Educators’ Association (OMEA) collects personal information for the sole purpose of administering membership. This includes the use of mail and email addresses in order to communicate with our members regarding official OMEA/CMEA business. This information is not sold or shared with any other individual or group.

  PRIVACY POLICY

  1. The OMEA recognizes your right to privacy and pledges to protect it.

  2. Personal information is stored and protected against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or copying.

  3. Access to membership information is restricted to active members of the Board of Directors of the OMEA for the sole purpose of communicating directly with members regarding official OMEA/CMEA Business.

  4. When visiting our web site, our web server automatically logs (records) domain name and standard information about the operating system and web browser you are using, as provided by your web browser. This information is used for statistical purposes to help us manage out site, but does not identify you in any way.

  5. Members will receive electronic newsletters and information about OMEA sponsored events.

  6. The OMEA is not responsible for the contents of any ‘off site’ internet information referenced or linked by the OMEA site.

  7. The statements made and the opinions expressed in The Recorder and through the Discussion Board and Comments made on the blog, are those of the authors alone and do not necessarily reflect the policies of the OMEA.

  8. Information pertaining to our members that is available on our website and in our journals has been collected with the member’s knowledge and express consent to publish and disclose said information.
