Cycle 6: The Glossary

Welcome to Cycle Six of the Professional Learning Module for the implementation of the revised Ontario curriculum document, The Arts, Grades 1-8, 2008. In this cycle, you will see that the Arts glossary has been expanded to include:

  • more terminology with definitions
  • examples
  • symbols and diagrams where necessary

Activity One: Professional Reading

Select an Arts strand (Dance, Drama, Music or Visual Arts) and read through its glossary. To view the glossary, enter "Glossary" into the search box after you click here.

Activity Two: Glossary Chart

To examine your knowledge of the Arts document glossary and to expand upon your Arts vocabulary, complete our glossary chart. To begin, click here.
